STEP UP and be a part of one of the largest disability awareness events in the Mid-South! Come join thousands of Mid-Southerners and STEP UP for all individuals with Down syndrome.

• Teams May Bring Your Own Picnic**Hot Dogs & chips will be provided

• Snacks will Be in Your Team Captain Bags

• Team and Individual prizes

• Team / Family Tent Set Up Sunday Only 10/23 after 7 AM

• Participants will need to bring chairs or blankets for seating

DONATIONS MUST BE TURNED IN 1 PM ON 10/23 TO COUNT TOWARD FUNDRAISING PRIZES, BUT WILL BE ACCEPTED ALL DAY SUNDAY.

Even if you can't be at STEP UP for Down Syndrome, you can still make a charitable donation to help support the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South.

Important Information Regarding Step Up 2022 and COVID-19

As you probably already know, we are gearing up for our 24th Annual Step Up for Down Syndrome. We want to assure you that DSAM will take every precaution necessary to ensure your well-being.  If you are still uncomfortable about attending a large event, we understand. 

We want to encourage participation no matter where you are! Just remember, every dollar raised goes towards supporting and empowering individuals with Down syndrome and their families. Let's Celebrate Down Syndrome Awareness Month on October 23th.

The Mission of DSAM is to provide support and empower people with Down syndrome and their families. Funds raised by the walk are used for the following:

*Provide information and support to families of newborn babies with Down syndrome.

*Support our programs, such as: New Parent Brunch, Reading is Key, Adult Self-Advocacy, Job Placement, Pathways, Inclusive Summer Camp, and Tutoring Program.

*Conduct educational meetings, publish newsletters, maintain a website and social media platforms, and provide a networking outlet for families and self-advocates.

*Financially assist families and self-advocates in attending local and national conferences.

*Provide current, up-to-date information to professionals, families and educators.

*Advocate for the rights of all individuals with Down syndrome.
