WALKIN IN MEMPHIS’  MARCH 21ST, 2018 Hosted by the Greer Family

WALKIN IN MEMPHIS’  MARCH 21ST, 2018 WITH JOSH GREER: On March 21st, 2018 please support us for the inaugural 'Walkin' In Memphis' Awareness Walk! I will be walking all day on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) to help celebrate and raise awareness for Down Syndrome! I will walk all across the Memphis area raising awareness and formally stopping at various well-known Memphis attractions and sponsors (map coming soon!). I will start at the crack of dawn at the Big River Crossing bridge and end that night at a very special bridge lighting ceremony at the Harrah Bridge.  My goal is to raise $21,000 ($1,000 for every stop I make). It is an aggressive goal, but with your support I know I can achieve it! If you would like to donate, please visit the donation website at: WHAT IS WDSD?  World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD) is a global awareness day which has been officially observed by the United Nations since 2012. WHY MARCH 21? The date for WDSD, being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome. 100% of the donations go to support the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Mid-South (DSAM). Your donations will directly support our housing capital campaign as well as help us expand our free programs to individuals with DS and their families.
